Mowing, shoping, inspecting
Monday, October 10, 2005 at 5:19 AM So Saturday, I mowed the lawn...the grass tall, my mower complained, but we got through it. It wasn't too bad cause the weather was nice, but it still took awhile, cause it hadn't been done in a long time.
Then Shannon and I got ready and headed out.
Our first stop was CostCo We wandered through and looked at a lot of things, kinda inspecting prices and the value of buying in bulk. So I took some notes on my phone and we left.
We headed to Target to buy a few things for Shannon. And then when to my 24 hour, Windsor Heights Hy-Vee. So we compared prices. And the main diffrence was between Smart Chicken (Organic and Grain Fed) and cost-co chicken. Both have the same sodium levels, which is great for me, cause the chicken that I used to eat is frozen in brine, and thus very salty. However it will probably come down to taste. We did figure out that if we switch to the chicken from CostCo, vs the Smart Chicken then we'll be saving around $300 a year. Which is enough to pay for the membership and more besides. Jerry, later that night, said that the Smart Chicken was much much tastier, but I dunno, We'll see. if the CostCo chicken is vile in comparision, then we'll see how else we can save money.
We came home, unloaded and I quickly made some burgers and we got ready to go out again.
