friday night and saturday...uh...day
So I picked my car up, in the cold rainy weather that we've had, under the advice to park my car in the garage and let the sealant dry over night....
So a few people (Dusty, Adam and uh.., Dave, and Chris and Holly) went down to see this movie called What the #$*! Do We Know!?. At the begining of the movie I was pumped cause it was about Quantum Physics and it should be pretty cool. In the middle I was starting to get wary of the things being said and by the end...I dunno. The movie did make me think and I suppose that's a good thing. After some thought and discussion down at the Drake Diner, something about it just didn't click right. So I got home and did some research and found out that the film was made by a bunch of believers of some "religion" called Ramtha. Doing more research it seem like just another outlet to get thier views exposed to the public. Some of the views (god is everything, etc) aren't new and have a basis in philosophy...but others just seem to be misinterpretations of Quantum Physics/Mechanics...or at least what I know of them. Oh well, the discussions were fun and lively so even if we watch some semi-recruitment film, the night was still pretty good.
Saturday I headed home, hung out with parts of my family (Older brother, his wife and kids, Older Sister, her husband and kids, younger brother and his wife, and my two youngest brothers. Played with the kids, watched a movie and Giagantic (documentary on They Might be Giants). Ate a nice meal and did my semi-annual thing with my brothers and pops, went back to my parents, had some apple cobbler and drove home. It was a nice day...
Oh yeah and on my drive too and from Cedar Rapids...No more whistling in my car! none at all! It certainly makes the trip quite a bit more pleasant.
