I think Jen, Dave and Dusty headed up to Ledges State Park Friday, but Shannon and I couldn't cause she worked Saturday morning. So Saturday afternoon we both prepare, and head up there. We called when we got close and drove deep into the camping area.

Now the previous times I had camped, it has been pretty close to campers and moble homes and pretty much can drive right up to the campsite, but this time we had hike in camping. And they weren't really kidding. It was probably a third to a half a mile in. So Dave, Dusty, Jen met us by the hike in parking and helped us tote in our things. Now, I had my sleeping bag, a backpack with clothes and a small air matress (the tent was already at the site). Now I know I shouldn't give her crap, but Shannon had a huge bag, and I mean huge...it was really heavy (I carried it). We also had cooler full of food and some plastic bags and etc. So we headed in. It was quite the hike in. But we got settled in and started to set up the tent that I had barrowed from my dad (who has it barrowed from his brother). Aswe unfoleded the tent, we decided that it just smelled way to bad, and then put it away, and broke out Jen's Tent to sleep in that. It was a bit smaller then my Uncle's tent, but much easier to setup. Mark showed up a bit later.

So we cooked, we chated, we had some drinks...well...dave, dusty, jen, mark and I did. We sat around the campfire and had fun. We hiked out to try to get a good view of the stars, that was kinda fun. We ended up in a parking lot near the begining of the camp area which gave a pretty good view. We eventually went to bed. During the night I woke up a few times (sometimes to sounds, sometimes to having a very acidy stomach and other times when shannon shifted). The next morning, I got up around 6:30 and after waiting a bit other people started to stir. Shannon and I headed to take a shower, it was quite the hike. Now cold shower has it's place I suppose, but when you are actually trying to get clean, it kinda sucks. But I fought my way through it. Eventually we made it back to camp and others were up and around. We decided to cook a nice big breakfast, consisting of bacon, scrambled eggs and hash browns. Dave and mark packed up and we helped them head out.

Dave did join us for a hike in the park part of Ledges and..driving in we had to drive across these streams that fill the road with water. There were often kids to the side of these water puddles and many of them were expecting to be splashed. It was cute.

We hiked on the old indian trail that went up and around and etc. it had a whole lot of stairs, and by the end, I thought my legs were going to fall off. Dave headed home, and the rest of us headed back to the campsite. We had a late lunch and then took a nap. We then got up again, and after catching some flack from Jen and Shannon, Dusty and I headed out to find some wood. There was a guy sitting near the front of the campground that was selling wood. So we ended up getting four bundles. and heading back in. Now carrying wood with twine...well...not so fun. We built quite the fire. We went through the entire selection of wood. It was nice.

We headed to bed again, with plans to come home on memorial day. So we got up and eventually started taring things down and moving them back to the cars.

It was a fun weekend. I had a good time...even if both nights there were some people that were being quite loud, cause they were still quite far away.

Shannon drops me off (we took her car) and I started getting this going (laundry, cleaning and etc) and Shannon went home and came back to do her laundry for the weekend.

Now I am fighting sleep and it's just been kinda obnoxious. having to delete streams of K's or whatever. Anyoo...the weekend was fun.
