So a couple of weeks ago, I switched over from Cozaar (100mg) to Benicar (20 then 40 mg). The Cozaar was loosing it's effectiveness...

Initially I was impressed with the results, with my blood pressure going down to recorded levels like I've never seen (one time it was bordering on the low edge of normal, that day one of my co-workers actually went home to get her BP monitor so she could take my BP cause I felt like crap). Especially after an ALT (SGPT) blood test showed my level was higher then normal (65, normal range is 0-40) (This is a test to check liver damage). After these results came in, I had more blood drawn and had a ultrasound of my liver, kidneys and pancreas. My liver is apparently fatty...

My HDL (good Cholesterol) is lower then it it should be too, but that's not near as severe.

So over the last couple of days minor back pain has really turned into localized pain in the areas of my kidneys...so...I'm calling the doc tomorrow.
