Food experiments with Pitas

So a few days ago I made some Pita sandwiches. I pan seared up some finley chopped beef, with a bit of tabasco. I was gonna have some onions in there, but we didn't have any in the house, and some lettuce and/or other fresh vegges, but with the recent veggie scare, Shannon's been a bit more hesitant then usual to eat them. We topped them with some Wasabi Horseradish Gourmayo (mine) and some Ceasar Ranch Gourmayo (Shannon).

They were quite good.

More pita bread to use, so on the back they suggest little pizzas. So, we did that. First round was pretty much what we had on hand, so marinara, cheese, and some chopped up honey ham sandwhich meat. They turned out pretty good (other then not letting them cook quite long enough).

So the next batch we went to the store and specifically bought things for them. A little goat cheese, some feta, some chicken (made by me, just pan cooked), along with a nice mix of 6 cheeses. Oh they turned out out very good...about 9 or 10 minutes in the oven at 400 and it was fantastic. Nice big pile of cheese, like you don't get in most places. It was fanfreakintastic. I'm convinced we'll need to do this more...maybe even make my own dough.

More mixtures to follow!
