So this week has been wierd. Last night, I headed over to the Crib to play monopoly with MikeyG (destroyer of worlds), Ryan, Other Jen and another guy who is the friend of Mikey and Other Jen. And it was a lot of fun. It started off looking bleek for me, with other's getting more property then me, but I lucked out and ended up getting one property in a bunch of diffrent chains, and was able to buy and trade myself into having 3 monopolies with hotels on them. And eventually ground down my opponents (first, other guy, then other jen) who either resigned from tiredness or running out of capital. And then Mikey went, then immediately after, Ryan resigned. So I ended up winning, at it wasn't with the big earners, it was with the nickel and dimes. It was a hell of a lot of fun for me and I hope the others had fun too. Somewhere in there, Other Jen made some curry with rice and we all had some. It was very good. I hope to do it again sometime, with this or risk...or whatever. i know that a lot of people don't like playing these long games, but I enjoy them. It's a good excuse to hang out with friends and actually talk with each other instead of watching people fight using soul caliber or watching a movie, or whatever. I got home around 3:AM.
Thursday was an old shcool Crib0 night. Not that i know what that is cause I didn't even know these people when the old school Crib nights happened. There was a lot of talking, goofing off, and playing of the Soul Caliber 2 on the X-box (meaning I couldn't play, since I am not going to use an X-Box). And even though I bitched about watching people play SC2 above, I still enjoyed the night. It ended kinda early, for Crib nights, and I headed home around 11:PM
Wednesday night was server maintainance night. Brandon and I go there at around 8:30 and left around 10:00. We installed a new core on the server. A few weeks before we had done the same thing...it's something I guess, but I still find it annoying to have to go in that often to do it.
Wednesday, my friend Jen got a job...she went in, applied and was hired! She started at 11 today at the resturant. So she now has two jobs. She needs the money and I hope that it works out for her. I had two jobs a few years ago (finishing up the contract on one job and accepting another job). I did work more then she was planning (I wasaround 40 hours a week on both jobs, she's gonna work 40 at one and around 15-20 on this other). But it takes quite a bit to work to jobs, because even if you have more money, you have a lot less free time....so it still kinda sucks. Hopefully she can remember what she is doing it for, and get that done as soon as possible so she doesn't have all that crap hanging over her head.
This morning I got up, did some laundry, washed my car and polished/protected the leather...so it's been a semi-productive day already.
So anyways on to the little more. Wednesday night, I called my boss to tell him that everything about the core upgrade went well, he noticed something, not that it was hard to notice. I've been really down lately. I think it's for a variety of things. I don't understand some of the things that are going on in my life or my friends lives. I have a lot of fears about some of my friends. I've had a good run, as far as my emotions go, for the past few years. Not a lot of highs or lows, so I've had a good run. It's just be kinda bad lately, I dunno. But I've been doing good today, so maybe the worst of it is over...but it has been a tough time.
