Ordering/Scheduling/etc.

So this morning I called and made an appointment to get a crown on one of my teeth. I also got numbers for uninsured info for Shannon (not to bad for just a cleaning, but it gets a lot worse after that, considering she probably hasn't been in a long time).

I also ordered new a new mask and air filters for my CPAP machine. I noticed when I was cleaning my mask last night, that the mask has a little crack in it. Which I suspect was why the mask was humming/whistling Sunday night. Lound enough that it woke Shannon up. I, of course, ordered from Iowa Health Home Care.

I also found out this past friday that I'll be going to California from Sunday through Thursday. This is for a business trip. Of course I don't have hotel reservations or a plan ticket yet...so maybe I won't be going. It's for a Medseek developers conference. So i'll be taking Sitemaker Level 4 Training, and learning a few things. It should be an ok time. It'll be nice to be away from work. No pages, no walk bys, no calls...mmmm....Solvang, though, is not the most fun place to stay for a few days.

It will, however, be the longest I've been away from Shannon in quite a while...so that's not so good. I know I'll miss her.

I checked ticket prices on this past Friday, and getting me to and from California wasn't gonna be very expensive, but when I came in on monday, prices had almost doubled. So my boss suggested that we wait to see if they fall. Of course it's not my money so...uh...

Oh and we've been working on building the Benefits system to talk to our HR system. Needless to say that it can be a gigantic pain in the ass. So query from their db, do a query of that query to get the data in a nice format, then query our system, and then do a query of a query to combine the HR data and the benefit data. Insted of using joins...ahh joins....*sigh* Lotta overhead, but has to be done to talk to two drastically diffrent data systems (AS/400 db and MS-SQL).
