A week in review...

So work kept me busy, preventing me to update as I would've liked.

Tuesday night, we went with Chris, Holly, Jerry, Renee, Dave, Pat, uh...pat's friend?, Dusty and Jen to Taki. I've been there before and ejoyed the food, but this was the first time, for me and for Shannon to have the sort of show that goes along with sitting arround heating area. It was kind of neat. Although on other tables, they got a huge burst of flame, that our cook apprently either forgot to do, or just didn't do...The food was good, the show was fun, the conversation was lively and we found an alcohol that Shannon didn't hate...(plum wine).

Wednesday night I had server maintainance where Brandon and I moved our intranets from our server that is around 5 years old, to our nice new server, that will eventually be load balanced. It went a bit longer then we thought and we were there until 2:30 AM

Thursday...that involved a lot of sleeping after work.

Friday, after I took the day off, we went to Wok in Motion with Josh and Lindsay. Josh made claims that the sushi was better then what they had at the Waterfront. We split a bottle of Sake (which was a bit too fruity tasting for our tastes). The sushi was pretty good, and I think was equal in taste to the Waterfront, but the presentation wasn't as nice. Yesterday, Josh pointed out that he thought the Avacado was better at Wok In Motion. Shannon had a stir fry dish (chicken and noodles) and it was very good too, and it wasn't that expensive either (espically if you were to stick with the stir fry dishes.

Saturday, We met up over at Chris's and carpooled up to Sioux City in Chris's car (we were gonna drive seperately and caravan, but since Dave's car was in the shop...the incentive was gone). We got up there a bit early and Chris gave us a tour of his hometown (I think). It was interesting. We eventually headed to the Senior Recital.

Drew did a great job. He even played on the harpsichord that he helped build. He looked a little stressed on stage, but when it was done, you could tell that he was truly relieved.

Afterwards, was a little reception and after that, a dinner at the Marina Inn, across the riiver. The inside was pretty nice and the dinner was good (Shannon didn't much like the Salmon, but I thought it was OK). It was fun to eat dinner with Jen, Dusty, Chris, Dave, Josh and Lindsay. Drew got some cool presents (a really nice looking music stand among them), since this was his sort of graduation party too (since he's going to Japan right after he graduates).

Afterwards we drove back the scenic route...though how scenic it was through the rain and the fog...but I suspect it was much more fun to drive then the interstate.

Today...Today we have Courtney's graduation party and Jerry and Renee's Baby Shower....so busy weekend...
