Updates on health errant data from before...

So this morning, I got up, showered, and headed to work, no breakfast, no exercise and no pills (I did eat some crackers with my antibiotic). Headed over to the doctor's office a bit before 10.

Checked in and they gave me some nasty drink that had some sort of thing in there that will stand out in the CT (I thought I was having an ultrasound, but, apparently not). Then had another in about 30 minutes...and then, after I was called in, had some more, right before the CT. The purpose of the CT is to check to see if I have Diverticulitis, because my kidneys hurt. They don't so much hurt now...I feel kinda pressurized, but that's cause I'm pillless for the first time in a long time (for more then 1 day).

So, they also stuck me with a needle and ran me though on a test run, reset it and test ran me again (I was apparently taller then she thought I was...). Then hooked me up with a blood agent to highlight another part of my digestive tract (tummy to colon). It felt pretty weird, kinda tingling (which she warned me about), and like I had peed my pants (which she also warned me about, but I didn't actually). After a couple more passes, I was done and headed back to work.

So As far as my new drug goes, it's called Avalide (which is a combination of irbesartan and hydrochlorothiazide). I start off with 150/12.5 mg and then go up to 300/25 mg. When I went to the pharmacy last night and filled the antibiotic script, he thought it was a bit odd that I was staying in the same family for the drugs...since I reacted so poorly to it. Whatever though...

We'll see how this goes, then I'll make the decision on where I'm going to the doctor from then on. Proctor mentioned that he asked the HR person in charge of IHP about the best recruit that she thought they got, and went to that guy (not that he didn't like his previous doc, he just could never get in). I may go to him, or ask her about someone that's got credentials on maintaining HBP.

So I'm waiting on my results from my CT. I hope they try home as opposed to work...
