fixing a pipe

So for the last two weeks or so I've been trying to get this company out to fix the valve beneth my toilet...cause it was leaking. I'd call their main number, leave a message, get no call back. I'd call their main number, talk to a person, and they'd tell me someone would call back, and no one would. I even called and they gave me the cell phone number of someone to call...which I did, left a message...and got no call back.

I know that the repair that I wanted wasn't gonna bring in a lot of money, but when it comest down to it, that's not what matters. What matters is building a customer base, and keeping that customer base.

Today I got a few suggestions from a co-worker. looked at their ads, went to one of their websites and then called the one with the website. I got answered quickly, they asked me if I wanted someone to come out today, they asked me how long it took me to get home so they could call me so I didn't have to sit at home and wait for the guy to show up. They called, I drove home, a few minutes later he showed up, and went straight to work, showed him the problem, showed him where to turn off the water and about 30-45 minutes later he was done and I was paying for it and heading back to work. That's service right there!
